Newborn Photos!

So, we had our newborn photos taken last week by Rachel with Lovas Photography. She did our maternity pictures, as well. They turned out amazing!

We also had RA's first check up at the pediatrician. He is back up to (and over!) his birthweight. As of last Tuesday, he weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and had grown an inch and a quarter, no measuring 20 1/4 inches long. 

The doctor said everything looked great and decided to forego a weight check a few days later. Seemed unnecessary as this little gent is gaining weight with no problem. 

Emily seems to be adjusting well to life as a big sister. She helped me give Ryan Andrew a sponge bath earlier last week and quickly learned what happens when little boys get cold and aren't properly covered up. She's since forgiven him and even helped me give him his bath in the tub the other night. 

Emily adores reading to her little brother, as well as giving him lots of hugs and kisses. Sometimes rather forcibly. 

RA has also adjusted well to his new life on the outside. He's not really too fussy and sleeps about as well as a newborn can be expected to. He eats like a champ and loves staring at his big sister. As a whole, I think we're starting to figure out this family of four thing. Starting to. 

I'll try to update with more of our day-to-day pictures. They won't be nearly as pretty as these. :)
